About His Life

He said he had never used that name even though his original surname was Srivastava.

When I was taking admission in LKJ, my father gave me the surname Bachchan. If a census worker came to our house and asked about religion,

I would say that I am Indian, I have no religion. Moreover, as per our family custom, on the day of the Holi festival, all the elders in the house are coloured and blessed.

My father respected the people around him. I am not ashamed to say this. On the occasion of Holi, my father used to paint a toilet cleaner at my father’s house after blessing Holi.

When Amitabh is saying these things, the audience was shocked. Whenever available, Amitabh shares with his fans about his family and their traditions.
