Melbourne: Aussie cricketer Steve Smith, who excelled in the recently concluded Ashes series, has been named to the T20 after three years.

Smith was banned for a year due to ball-tampering. Reentry through World Cup. And then in the prestigious Ashes series, he has been involved with the former form.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia (CA) has decided to select Smith for the upcoming T20 series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The Aussies have announced their squad. Smith, who played T20 for the Aussies for the last time in March 2016, has been in this format for a long time.

With the World T20 only a year away, the Aussies are in the process of testing their strength.

It also plans to keep the players’ capabilities in place of the World Cup in their own country.

This is how Smith, a Test specialist, was selected in short format. Aussies opener David Warner, on the other hand, failed miserably in the Ashes.

The first T20 against Sri Lanka will be launched on October 27 at home.

After the T20 series against Sri Lanka, Aussies will face top-ranked Pakistan.

Aaron Finch will be the Aussie captain for this T20 series.
