Rafael petition against Rahul Supreme Court Dismissed

Rafael petition against Rahul, Supreme Court dismisses petitions against Rafael and Rahul.

Supreme Court Verdict on Rafael petition against Rahul Gandhi:

The Supreme Court has said that the court will not interfere in defence matters from before.

The Supreme Court dismissed the review petitions filed in the Rafael Agreement. Rafael made it clear that there was no need for an investigation under court supervision.

The Supreme Court has been saying that the court will not interfere in defence. The same thing was made clear again in today’s judgment.

On December 14, 2018, the court dismissed the earlier petitions alleging that the Rafael deal had been manipulated and that Prime Minister Modi had intervened directly.

However, former Union Ministers Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie and lawyer Prashant Bhushan have filed review petitions.

A bench headed by CJI Justice Ranjan Gogoi, which heard the review petitions, reserved its verdict on May 10. The court ruled Thursday’s ruling dismissed the petitions.

The court also dismissed the contempt petition filed by Rahul. Earlier, Rahul’s apologies were accepted.

Rahul’s comments on ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ also came after the Supreme Court had given Rafael a clean chit.

Rahul is now advised to speak cautiously and restrain himself in the future.
