Sabarimala Nada Pampa: The Sabarimala temple will be opened today for the Mandala Makara Vilakku festival.
Days after the Supreme Court referred the Sabarimala temple case to a larger bench, the Lord Ayyappa shrine is all set to reopen today evening for pilgrimage season.

From early morning, the pilgrims can roam the hill without a time restraint. Private vehicles must stop at Nilakkal as last year. But devotees are not forbidden to stay in the vicinity.
KSRTC will run special services from Nilakkal to Pampa. The district administration is of the opinion that the ban is not necessary in case of tension.
