The incident came to light recently at the Police Coordination Center in Anaco, Venezuela. 

Last Friday, at the Police Coordination Center in Anaco, staged a protest demanding that they are provided with food and water, and to allow their relatives to come to visit. 

They enjoyed watching their bodies scream. After that, they were fed for a few hours and not even given water. 

A Venezuelan reporter posted a video on his Twitter account. The video has gone viral on social media. 

The human rights community was deeply offended by the incident. The government responded and ordered an inquiry into the incident.

At least 82 inmates were forced to lay face down naked with their hands behind their heads in a courtyard at the Police Coordination Center in Anaco, Anzoátegui last Friday, Venezuelan outlet ACN reported.

The guards allegedly hosed down cells with fuel to force prisoners out into the yard.

They then allegedly used a hose to spray them with water and placed fighting roosters on their bodies, who left bite marks and scratches on the defenceless inmates.

Family members said the prisoners had recently gone on a strike to protest the lack of food and water served by the staff at the jail.

Tarek William Saab, who serves as the Attorney General of Venezuela’s Constituent National Assembly, has announced an investigation into the incident.

In a tweet published Monday evening, Saab charged commissioner Hernan Diaz and two other officers, who he did not name, with being responsible for abusing the inmates’ human rights.

Diario El Vistazo said they had identified Jackson Guevara, Jose Fernandez Jose Mendoza as three of the prison guards who were being investigated for their roles in the attack.
