INDIA leaders claim Centre hacking their devices

Opposition leaders from the “INDIA” alliance on Tuesday claimed that the Centre has been attempting to hack their devices after being sent Apple warning messages from their phones.
The alert message from Apple asserts that the heads have been at the mercy of “state-sponsored attackers.”
Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra who was investigated by the Parliament Ethics Committee in the “cash for query” controversy claimed that the Centre tried to hack her phone.
In a post on social media site “X” she posted, “Received text and email from Apple warning me that the government is trying to hack into my phone and email. Home Minister’s Office – get a life. Adani and PMO bullies – your fear makes me pity you.”

Shashi Tharoor posted screenshots of the message he received on Twitter’s platform for social networking called ‘X’.

“Received from an Apple ID, [email protected], which I have verified. Authenticity confirmed. Glad to keep underemployed officials busy at the expenses of taxpayers like me! Nothing more important to do?” said Tharoor regarding the hacking claims on social media site ‘X.’

According to Apple reports, state-sponsored hacks are extremely complicated and costing millions of dollars create, and typically have a very short lifespan. Most users are not affected by such attacks.

“Unlike traditional cybercriminals, state-sponsored attackers apply exceptional resources to target a very small number of specific individuals and their devices, which makes these attacks much harder to detect and prevent,” Apple said on its website. Apple via its official website.

Pawan Khera, the chairman of the Media and Publicity Department of Congress posted a photo of the message of warning the congressman was sent by Apple.

“Their might can’t silence our voice. Will keep holding the government to account. With or without this unethical and illegal state-sponsored attempts at hacking,” said UBT faction Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi.

On the claims of being monitored, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury said”Privacy is the right of all citizens, in accordance with the Constitution of our country. Constitution…The Centre needs to give an explanation of why this happening …”
