Income-tax officials in Karnataka have seized Rs 5 crore in cash.
The state’s former deputy CM Ji Parameshwara, along with other residents, reported the IT attacks on Thursday.
However, the IT officials said that around 5 crores of cash were found in various locations.
IT officials are also checking in 25 other areas today. On Thursday, IT searched in several parts of Bangalore and Tumkur.
Sources at Parameswara and Rajendra Residences Karnataka Congress leaders have attacked the income earners of former Karnataka Congress leader Ji Parameshwara and former MP RL Jalappa’s son Rajendra.
The Parameswara family runs the Siddhartha Group educational institutions.
These companies were founded by Parameswara’s father HM Gangadharaiah 58 years ago.
In addition to Parameswara’s house, IT officials have conducted searches in educational institutions.
Officers said that Parameswara’s brother Sivaprasad and personal assistant Ramesh were also involved in the attack.
Rajendra manages the RL Jalappa Institute of Technology in Doddaballapura, Kolar District.
These attacks have been reported on tax evasion charges worth crores of rupees.
Nearly 300 IT staff have carried out attacks in 30 areas of the two leaders, officials said. There were reports of attacks on their offices in Karnataka and Rajasthan.
Two medical colleges under the auspices of the Sri Siddhartha Education Trust in Tumkur have been accused of massive manipulations.
Allegations have been levelled that someone else wrote the tests instead of the candidates, and in this case, lakhs of rupees had changed hands.
IT officials have reportedly carried out attacks as part of the investigation into the case.
Parameswara responded to the attacks and said he had no information and was not even aware of the attacks.
